 k Club.\nAbdul Qayum Shafaq has selected The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
  for this special discussion. Together\, Sharaq and Sarah will explore the 
 novel's powerful themes of friendship\, displacement\, identity\, guilt\, r
 edemption\, and the enduring impact of conflict.\nA former Assistant Profes
 sor at Samangan University in Afghanistan\, a PhD Candidate in Business Adm
 inistration\, and a committed human rights advocate\, particularly for wome
 n's rights and girls' education\, Shafaq has contributed to major internati
 onal research projects with organizations including USAID\, UN Women\, CARE
  International\, Plan International\, and the International Rescue Committe
 e across Afghanistan\, Nepal\, Ethiopia\, South Sudan\, Niger\, and beyond.
  His work has focused on women's empowerment\, gender equality\, child prot
 ection\, migration\, and access to education. Passionate about books\, lear
 ning\, and dialogue\, he believes in the power of research and storytelling
