Beyond Borders Book Club
The Beyond Borders Book Club is a celebration of great literature from countries beyond Ireland, recommended by guests who have personal connections to the places discussed in these books. It is a significant and growing element of EBCF that aims to open out the diversity of writing and creativity all over the world for audiences in Ireland. Through this expansive storytelling, we get to share contrasting experiences and perspectives. Beyond Borders is an opportunity to connect to stories and points of view from other places and represents an invaluable link in the chain of what connects us all around the world, no matter the apparent differences in our lives and societies.
Our guest panellists Sree Sen, Nandi Jola and Natasha Remoundou will take part in what is bound to be a fascinating discussion with writer Sarah Clancy. Sree, who is from India, will discuss The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. From South Africa, Nandi will talk about We Need New Names by NoViolet Bulawayo. Natasha, who is from Greece, will discuss Why I Killed My Best Friend by Amanda Michalopoulou.Â
