In this event for Transition Year students, Louise will talk about her latest, award-winning novel After the Silence and do one or two readings from the book.
We’ll discuss Louise’s body of work, its diversity and its impact, and the common threads that run through all her books.
Louise will also talk about her own favourite writers, her writing process and her advice for young writers.
Audience members will be invited to participate in an interactive Q&A.

Louise O’Neill grew up in Clonakilty, a small town in West Cork. Her first novel, Only Ever Yours was released in 2014. It went on to win the Sunday Independent Newcomer of the Year at the 2014 Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards; the Children’s Books Ireland Eilís Dillon Award for a First Children’s Book; and The Bookseller‘s inaugural YA Book Prize 2015.
