Ten Books You Should Read

Festival favourite Ten Books You Should Read returns to glór. Róisín Ingle and Manchán Magan join us for a deep dive into a list of their most recommended books. Designed for readers and book clubs looking for new titles to explore, Ten Books You Should Read is a Saturday highlight of the festival and a great chance to add good suggestions to your reading list.

When you can’t put a book down. When your brain sparkles with satisfaction as you turn each page. When you can’t forget the story and its characters linger long in your mind, that’s when you know you’re in the presence of what is for you, a great book.

There are books that resonate with some and scoop up awards but will bore others to tears. And there are remarkable, beautifully-written, insightful books that are meant to be pored over, savoured, passed on to friends and passed back again.

In this event, we’ll explore the books that have left our guests breathless, thoughtful and wanting to go back and read them all over again!

The discussion will be hosted by the former Galway City Arts Officer James C. Harrold.

This event is dedicated to the memory of our friend and mentor Patricia Callaly, founder member of EBCF.
