EBCF festival commissioned writer Mia Gallagher to curate an exhibition of visual art from the Arts Council Collection and then to write a short story based on it. Mia will read her story from start to finish in 3 durational performances which audience members are free to enter and leave as they please.
The Arts Council Collection began in 1962 and is now one of the most important in Ireland. Because the Arts Council aims to support artists as well as engage the public, all of the pieces are collected while the artists are still alive and working. Most of the work can also be seen online, at http://artscouncil.emuseum.com
