Join us for an event which will be conducted in both Irish and English as Clare-based author, Ré Ó Laighléis discusses his many books in both languages. Amongst Ré’s many acclaimed works are such novels as the MÓINÍN-published Hooked, Terror on the Burren, The Great Book of the Shapers, Battle for the Burren, Osama, Obama, Ó, a Mhama! His best known collections include the multi-translated Ecstasy and other stories, Heart of Burren Stone, Goimh agus scéalta eile, Bolgchaint agus scéalta eile, Punk and many others. His novel GAFA is on the Leaving Cert curriculum. He is Director of MOININ’s Writers’ Training Centre, An Scriobhlann / The Writing House.
Michael McCaughan is an Irish author and journalist best known for his work in Latin America. He has written extensively for the Irish Times, the Guardian, Hot Press, Village Magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle and the Sunday Telegraph.
