For our Saturday night mainstage event, we welcome two very different guests, hosted by writer and broadcaster Susan McKay.

First up is Lemn Sissay who will perform and discuss his work as a poet, playwright, and human rights’ activist. Lemn was recently named Chancellor at the University of Manchester, beating off stiff competition from none other than Peter Mandelson.

We are also delighted to welcome Kate Adie, bestselling author and broadcaster, and BBC’s Chief News Correspondent, a role she was promoted to following her coverage of the killings in Tiananmen Square. Kate will discuss her life and work as one of the first British women to send dispatches from danger zones around the world.

This event is kindly supported by The Ennis Bookshop.
