Fighting Words is delighted to bring a two-hour short story writing workshop to Clare Libraries for Teen Week 2025. Our workshop will begin as a collective story writing session with some improvisation exercises to build our characters, setting and plot. Participants will write the story together throughout this first part of the workshop, editing as they go along.

The second part of the session allows participants to finish the collective story individually, or work on their own pieces of writing. The workshop will conclude with time for sharing their individual work aloud. Participants will be supported, advised and encouraged by our team throughout the session.

This workshop is suitable for secondary school class groups. Schools are invited to book via the library.
