Immram

We are thrilled to welcome Neil Ó’Lochlainn’s Immram, a chamber ensemble performance featuring singer Inni-K, of a suite of poems written by Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill. This suite combines influences from the sean nós tradition, jazz/ improvised music and contemporary chamber music to create an innovative style of Irish music rooted in the singing and dance music tradition of Ireland. The musicians are some of the most highly regarded musicians working today in a variety of genres.
Neil Ó Lochlainn is an award winner musician and composer from Clare. His work is dedicated to exploring the universal in the local and developing a unique creative music language derived primarily from Irish influences. He is the co-founder and artistic director of the award winning Ensemble Ériu who have released three critically acclaimed albums and received a TG4 Gradam Ceoil award in 2016.
“Neil Ó Loclainn has an instinct and a feel for different strands of music that allows him to create uncompromised musical worlds that speak with real depth and authenticity” Martin Hayes.
