Story Riot will host a unique audio-visual performance with spoken-word artists Abby Oliveira (Derry) and Maeve Abyss (USA). Combining storytelling with a musical bed of futuristic ambient beats provided by Simon O’Reilly (Clare). This group highlights pressing issues of climate chaos, social inequity, and existential anxiety. Tinged with dark humour and highlighted with glimmers of hope, Story Riot brings a cross-collaborative show that immerses audiences in a thought-provoking and visceral experience

Abby Oliveria is a spoken-word poet, writer and performer from Derry whose work is cross-discipline and collaborative. Maeve Abyss is a writer and performer of spoken word and song who has travelled extensively around Europe, collecting data for writing. Simon O’Reilly is a producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and music video maker who has worked with an array of Ireland’s top musicians.
