Sally Hayden, Paulo Nunes dos Santos and Vincent Durac in conversation with Katie Hannon.
The panel will examine the politics of peace & conflict in a globalised world. In Gaza and Lebanon, Syria and Yemen, Iraq & Afghanistan and parts of the continent of Africa, conflict and civil war are not just a threat to local populations but also have global impacts.
The unstable picture keeps changing and our guests will explore what this means for the coming years in conversation with journalist Katie Hannon.
Sally Hayden has reported from many countries and her award-winning book, My Fourth Time We Drowned is a staggering investigation into the migrant crisis across North Africa.
Paulo Nunes dos Santos is a photojournalist and reporter covering armed conflict and social issues worldwide. He is a frequent contributor to The New York Times and Jornal Expresso.
Dr. Vincent Durac is Associate Professor in Middle East Politics at University College Dublin. He is co-author (with Francesco Cavatorta) of Politics and Governance in the Middle East.
