Feminism and Women’s Experiences at War
Join us for a powerful and timely conversation marking the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This special event features Yaryna Chornohuz, a Ukrainian poet, combat medic, and now intelligence officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who will travel to Ireland specifically for this evening.
Yaryna will speak first‑hand about what it means to be a woman at war — the challenges, resilience, trauma, and strength that shape the everyday reality of female soldiers. She will also read from her poetry and share personal stories from the frontline.
Yaryna speaks fluent English.
Yaryna Chornohuz is a Ukrainian poet and an intelligence officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. She has served as a combat medic since 2021, later becoming an intelligence officer.
