Forest Jones

American author, Forest Jones, will join us in SĂșil Gallery on Friday 6th March @ 4pm to talk about his new book, Good Trouble: The Selma, Alabama and Derry, Northern Ireland Connection 1963-1972. The book explores the links between the Black Civil Rights Movement in the U.S, and the Civil Rights Movement in Northern Ireland, and is full of fascinating detail. Jones, an African-American educator and historian whose parents were civil rights activists, uses the stories of the 1965 Selma march to Montgomery and the 1969 student civil rights activist march from Belfast to Derry to tell a broader story about connections between the two civil rights movements .

This event has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict Forest Jones has had to withdraw from the Festival. Ennis Book Club Festival would like to sincerely apologise to everyone who has booked.

Please email the festival directly at in**@*******************al.com if you have any queries.
